2. The promotion
Fee-Free Month is a promotion run by Bitwala for July 2026. From 1 July to 31 July 2026, every eligible user who generates fee-bearing activity receives a refund of 100% of fees incurred during that month, paid in BTC. The promotion applies only to July 2026.
3. Eligibility
Open to residents of EEA member states, excluding Germany, aged 18 or over. Eligible participants are: (a) new users who create and verify a Bitwala account during July 2026, (b) existing users who complete KYC verification for the first time during July 2026, and (c) existing verified users who have never generated a fee before 1 July 2026. Users who generated fees before 1 July 2026 are not eligible. Employees of Bitwala GmbH and their immediate family members are not eligible. The promotion is void where prohibited by local law.
4. Qualifying activity
Any fee-generating action completed during July 2026 qualifies for the refund. Fee-generating actions include, but are not limited to: crypto trades, crypto card payments, ATM withdrawals, savings plan executions, and card orders (virtual or physical). Any transaction that incurs a fee qualifies. Euro card payments incur no fees and do not qualify. No additional purchase beyond normal app usage is required to participate.
5. Refund
Eligible users receive a 100% refund of fees incurred in July 2026, paid in BTC to their Bitwala wallet. The BTC value is calculated at the market rate at the time of deposit. The value of BTC may fluctuate after the refund has been issued. Bitwala accepts no responsibility for changes in value after deposit. Refunds are non-transferable, and no cash alternative is available. Bitwala reserves the right to exclude activity it reasonably considers artificial or abusive.
6. Refund timing
Refunds will be deposited into each eligible user's Bitwala wallet in the first two weeks of August 2026. No action is required to claim the refund.
7. Marketing
Participating users may be featured in Bitwala's marketing communications. Bitwala will contact the user before any public announcement to request permission. Participation in marketing is optional and does not affect eligibility or the fulfilment of refunds. Where a user declines, Bitwala may publish anonymised details of the promotion.
8. Data
Personal data collected in connection with this promotion will be processed by Bitwala GmbH in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at https://bitwala.com/privacy-policy. Data will be used solely for administering the promotion and will not be retained beyond what is necessary for that purpose.
9. General
Bitwala reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the promotion at any time. In the event of cancellation, any refunds already processed will be honoured. Bitwala accepts no responsibility for qualifying activity affected by technical issues. By participating, users confirm they have read and agree to these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Berlin.
